Masterson’s Tavern , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my most recent experience at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I encountered behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of the Venue : Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I entered , it was evident that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The ground was covered in grime , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of urine , old age and illness .
